October 1992


Angela Drummond founds SiloSmashers as Structured Solutions Inc., a woman-owned firm, and wins its first contract with the Department of Defense (DoD) to build and run the first DoD Center for Process Improvement.

October 1994


Angela Drummond creates, authors, and leads the development of the highly-valued Peak Performance® methodology for program and project management.

October 1999


SiloSmashers embarks on a branding campaign and officially changes the firm’s name to SiloSmashers.

October 2001


SiloSmashers becomes certified as an 8(a) Small Business.

October 2003


SiloSmashers is named to the Washington Technology Fast 50, and remained on the list through 2005.

October 2004


SiloSmashers continues expansion and moves to its new headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. SiloSmashers is named to Washington Business Journal’s list of Fastest Growing Companies, and appears on the list again in 2005. SiloSmashers acquires Denali Associates to expand specific competency areas. Two years later, SiloSmashers acquires the Martis Group.

SiloSmashers named to the DiversityBusiness.com Top 500 Women-owned Businesses; the company is also named a Top Diversity-owned and Woman-owned businesses in Virginia and the U.S., and a Top Native-American owned business in the U.S.

Angela Drummond receives the Fast Company Women Presidents’ Organization Award.

SiloSmashers receives Association for Federal Information Resource Management (AFFIRM) Leadership Award.

October 2007


Angela Drummond is selected for Federal 100 Award for individuals who demonstrate exceptional performance in the IT arena.

SiloSmashers is ranked #6 in Washington Business Journal’s List of Small Technology Companies.

October 2009


SiloSmashers receives ISO 9001:2000 certification. American Heart Association recognizes SiloSmashers with the “Gold Start” Award for promoting wellness and good health in the workplace.

October 2010


The National Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals recognizes SiloSmashers for outstanding achievement in the advancement of ethics. SiloSmashers successfully graduates from the 8(a) program.

Angela Drummond is recipient of the “Enterprising Women of the Year” Award by Enterprising Women magazine.


Angela Drummond is honored as a winner in the 2011 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.


Washington Business Journal names SiloSmashers as one of the Top Healthiest Employers for 2011.

October 2012


Angela Drummond wins Outstanding Achievement Awards for her work on the Professional Service Council’s new member development and current member retention programs.

Angela Drummond becomes Chair of the Women in Technology Education Foundation to promote STEM education for girls.

October 2013


Angela Drummond appointed to the board of directors of the Women in Technology Education Foundation.

SiloSmashers moves its corporate Headquarters to Herndon, VA.

November 2016


S&T Information System Security Chief Information Officer awarded SiloSmashers ISSO Program Manager the 2016 S&T Information System Security Officer of the Year. The S&T described the SiloSmashers team members as thought leaders dedicated to organizational advancement and excellence in customer engagement. The result transformed S&T’s FISMA scorecard from all Red to all Green.
